Here is a list of the several medicine-related courses one can take with KCSE Mean grade ( D plain) and a few things that one has to know about them.
D (plain ) medical courses.
A. Certificate in diatetics and nutrition.
-Minimum kcse requirements. D plain and above.
-one also needs the following grades in the subjects below:
*English – D plain grade
* Biology/Biological Sciences – D plain grade.
– A part from the above subjects , you also need to have attained a D (plain) grade in one of these subjects:
*Chemistry.

B. Certificate in Operation theatre technology.
Minimum kcse Mean grade D (plain) and above.
This course is offered mathari school of nursing in Nyeri county. It is equally offered in nyahururu Kenya medical training college.
C. Certificate in palliative care and gerontology .
-KCSE minimum grade required D (plain) and above.
-This course is offered in mathari hospital school of nursing in Nyeri among other Institutions.
D. Certificate in Counselling Psychology.
-Minimum kcse requirements mean grade D(plain).
-TVET CDACC – is the examining body.
E.Certificate in Foundations in Community Health.
-Minimum kcse entry requirements D(plain).
-It should be noted that this is a foundational course that suits those candidates who would like to be involved in offering basic community health services.
-The course is equally targets at students who are interested in working as Community Health Assistants (as part of UHC) and as well as other related areas.
-This course takes six months and the fees for the entire course is KSH.32,500
Medical courses with D-( minus)
1.certificate in Health Support Service.
-Kcse minimum requirements D – (minus).
-This course is examined by National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and is offered by Outspan medical college in Nyeri.
It is also offered in several other medical colleges in Kenya.
Medical courses with KCSE D+ (plus)
A.Certificate in Health Promotion for the Deaf(CHPD).
Entry requirements kcse mean grade D+ (plus)

*English/Kenya Sign Language – mean grade D+
