Celebrated Zora Show Comes To An End Today, Sultan Show picks Up officially as from Next Week

Citizen television the popular show Zora ends its run after being on the air for almost a year.

 

 

 

 

A senior source at the Kilimani-based television station said TBEN.co.ke on Thursday, March 3, that the show would end in a few weeks.

 

 

 

He further noted that the broadcaster is heading towards a new show called Sultana which is expected to become a fan favorite.

 

 

 

“There’s another show called Sultana (to replace Zora). Zora will end in the next few weeks,” a source familiar with the matter said.

Launched in March 2021, the show has become a cult following with romantic drama fans across the country reuniting two former Upper Tahidi actors Sarah Hassan as the titular star and Jacky Matubia of Jolene fame.

 

 

 

 

The hit show aired Monday through Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On her Facebook page, Sarah Hassan thanked her cast and fans for being part of the show’s year.

 

 

 

“It was an absolute pleasure to work with such amazing people. Thank you Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdalla for the opportunity to bring Zora to life,” she noted.

 

 

 

Matubia, on the other hand, thanked her producers for choosing her to play the role of Nana.

 

 

 

 

“It was amazing to play the role of Nana. It’s a bittersweet feeling to bow down, but I hope you learned something from our story. It’s always a pleasure to tell this story. It’s never a goodbye, it’s see you soon,” she wrote.

 

 

 

Citizen television has already released the trailer for the upcoming Sultana spectacle featuring prominent coastal scenery and enough tears signaling an emotional journey.

 

 

 

 

The show will air during the same prime time as Zora.
