Counties Where Big Names Are To Step Down On Negotiated Democracy
Azimio la Umoja coalition and Kenya Kwanza have now embarked on negotiated democracy between candidates so as to ensure they don’t lose the seats to their rival camps.
For example in an area where Azimio is strong and there is also a relatively strong Kenya Kwanza candidate, the other Azimio candidates are set to step down and support some of them.
Via a publication of the Daily Nation, these are some of the candidates and counties set for negotiated democracy.
In Kisii, the battle is between professor Ongeri of DAP and also Simba Arati of ODM.
There is also Chris Obure of Jubilee and Ezekiel Machogu of UDA who is now the opponent.
Two of the three are set to quit so that Azimio is left with only one candidate, most likely the ODM man.
In Machakos, there is Wavinya Ndeti and Nzioka Waita going against Johnston Muthama of UDA.
One candidate is likely to be coerced into stepping down so as to support the other.
In Vihiga there is Wilbur Ottichilo and George Khaniri. Both are in Azimio. In a negotiated democracy, one of them is set to step down to avoid giving the opponent an upper hand.
