Kenya Prisons Service Advertises Recruitment Of Prisons Constables, Deadline And Qualifications.

The Kenya Prisons Service has announced to the general public the recruitment exercise of Prisons Constables (male & female) on 8th FEBRUARY, 2022 starting at 0800h.

 

 

Interested candidates who have the minimum qualifications for the recruitment are invited to attend the recruitment exercise on 8th February 2022.

 

 

 

The qualifications prospective candidate wishing to join the Kenya prison service include:

• Must be a Kenyan citizen;

• Have a valid National Identification Card;

• Have no criminal record;

• Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade of D+ and above or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

• Be between the ages of 18 and 28 years for secondary school leavers;

• Be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall for men and 5 feet 2 inches tall for women;

• Be physically and medically fit;

• Must have good hearing and clear vision;

• Female candidates MUST not be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire training period.

 

 

The Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government has clearly stated that the  recruitment exercise will be absolutely free.

 

 

The Ministry has warned citizens that bribery and other acts of corruption are unlawful and any person presenting themselves for recruitment with falsified or fake academic/professional certificates, identity cards, or engaging in any acts that amount to corruption SHALL be disqualified, arrested and prosecuted according to the law.

 

 

The recruitment exercise will only be conducted at the listed recruitment centres and on the day as indicated. Any person therefore purporting to be issuing calling letters away from the recruiting centres should be treated as a criminal.

 

 

 

On the recruitment day the prospective candidates must carry the following documents :

Original National identification card,

Original birth certificate,

Original KRA PIN certificate,

Original academic certificates and other testimonials.

The recruitment exercise will be conducted at various centres as communicated by the ministry of interior and coordination of national government.
