TSC Transfers Heads of Staffing, County Directors & interdicts Some in the Latest Reshuffles.

Teachers Service Commission (TSC,)has distanced itself from claims that  senior officers have undergone drastic transfers and promotions at both the headquarters and the field level.

The fake news claimed that the following had happened

Desire to improve service delivery and the retirements of former office holders have led to the adjustments.

Rita Wahome, the Commission’s head of staffing, has been transferred to the less prominent Field Services docket to take Mary Rotich’s place, who retired at the beginning of the year.

Then Her deputy, Antonina Lentoijoni, is temporarily filling in while a permanent replacement is found. At the Secretariat of the Commission, staffing has the most sway.

The Former County TSC Director Ms. Wahome has a history of conflicts with her job. She was briefly suspended last year for an unspecified reason before being rehired by TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia.

Although she has been the head of staffing, insiders claim that she has not been very visible in her work because her boss was seen to prefer working with Antonina Lentoijoni, who was her deputy.

In addition a number of County Directors, Deputy Directors, and Sub-County Directors were moved around while some others were arrested.

Going by the recent restructuring, James Nyakweba, the director of Kakamega County, who retired earlier this year, was replaced by John Nzuvu Nzioka in Baringo.

Everlyne Kinaka, Nyakweba’s assistant, had been serving as Director up until recently. Her chances of having the position confirmed, however, were

shattered when she was detained after becoming embroiled in a scandal involving a dubious teacher recruiting drive in Tiaty sub-counties.

Identical accusations led to the interdiction of two local Sub-County Directors. Juma Lomurgelem (Tiaty West) and Jared Wepukhulu are the cops who are impacted (Tiaty East).

Dr. Esther Njiru, the county director for Siaya TSC, has been moved to Taita-Taveta County to take Peter Mugo’s place, who just announced his retirement.

Tana-River Director, Aneriko Maloba, has been transferred to Siaya to take Njiru’s post.

After Maloba was transferred, David Gutu, who had been the Deputy Director Makueni, was given a promotion to full director and assigned as Tana-River County head.

After a brief term at her current post, Margaret Kamau, the Migori Director, is now moving to Embu.

Ann Wawuda, who was previously a Sub-County Director, now serves as her replacement. In Machakos County, Matungulu Sub-County was her former station.

Margaret Kinyanjui, who was moved from Embu to Kakamega, will be replaced by Kamau.

Mr.Solomon Odipo, the director of Kisii, was transferred to Kitui to replace Jane Mwaniki, and Ms. Anne Wachira, the director of Machakos, will now take over from Mwaniki.

Lewis Mutegi, the director of Turkana, has now been transferred to Machakos to take Ms. Wachira’s place, and

Florence Momanyi, the deputy director of Kakamega, has been given a promotion to full director and deployed to Isiolo. She will take the place of Mr. Wachira, who was moved to Lamu.

In order to replace Mutegi, Ali Hussein, who had been serving as both the Deputy County Director for Mombasa and the Mvita Sub-County Director, has been promoted to full director.

Caren Achieng Onthoro, who formerly served as the Sub-County Director for Kakamega East, will take Hussein’s post.

Mr.Sammy Loitakol, who was the Laikipia County’s Deputy Director, has been promoted and will take over as the next County Director in Marsabit. Russel Wafula, who was just detained, is replaced by him.

Wafula is currently involved in a lawsuit involving the dubious sale of auto components that occurred at his former station in Nyandarua County.

The Other Deputy County Directors have also been changed, including Wilfred Mosigisi of Turkana, who has switched places with Solomon Buyela of Nandi.

In addition, James Biego, who just retired, was replaced as Deputy Director by Francis Saina, who was transferred from Vihiga to Migori.

It has been determined that additional adjustments should be anticipated within the coming week
