KYEOP gives grand opportunity to youths in need of livelihood.

With the constantly swelling numbers of unemployed but productive youth, Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Projects, KYEOP has emerged. KYEOP is a government of Kenya initiative tailor-made to answer to the needs of Kenyan youth aged between 18-29 year but has no sound source of income. The project then seeks to add value and skills through training the youth. After training, it boost marketability, employability and profitability to the trained youth.

During the training, focus is on acquisition of life skills, business and intern opportunities (work experiences) as this will lift the living standards of the youth. However, KYEOP runs it’s programs through out the year. Every eligible youth is encouraged to join by way of application through filling a form downloaded from KYEOP website.

Eligibility to join KYEOP
To join the nationwide program, one needs to meet certain qualifications to apply.
i) Must be in possession of a national ID
ii) Must be Kenyan citizen
iii) Must be between 18-29 yrs
iv) Form 4 certificate level or below.
v) Must not have an employment/ must be unemployed.

Operations of KYEOP
KYEOP has 3 training phases. Each phase has 1-6 cycles.
i) Life-Skill Training LST
ii) Core Business Skills Training CBST
iii) Job Specific Skills Training JSST
a) Formal Training Provider
b) Master Craftsman Apprenticeships
