Kisumu National Polytechnic Courses, Requirements and Fee Structure
The Kisumu National Polytechnic (TKNP) is a public technical and vocational training (TVET) institution registered under the Ministry of Education.
Kisumu National Polytechnic began operations in 1988 as a Technical Training Institute with the aim of offering courses geared towards producing hands-on human resource competent in the application of technical skills.
The college was further upgraded to a National Polytechnic status in 1997 by the Ministry of Education to meet the regional demand for technical skills in Kenya.
The Kisumu National Polytechnic offers courses grouped into 11 departments that lead to the award of certificates, diplomas, and higher diplomas.
Major examination bodies for courses at TKNP include KNEC, NITA, CDACC, NVCET, ICDL, and KASNEB.
Intakes for the courses at TNKP are usually done in May and September.
The 2020/2021 third term at the Kisumu National Polytechnic was scheduled to run from 24th May 2021 to 13th August 2021.
KNEC examinations are to run from 2nd to 13th August 2021 (subject to change by the institution).
