school sports schedule has now been made public by the Ministry of Education, so no more waiting.

The teaching and learning process in all education systems depends heavily on co-curricular activities. The recognized, nurtured, and developed learner talents occur as a result of these programmed activities.

Co-curricular activities will now completely resume in all basic learning institutions, per the Ministry of Education’s decision after consulting with important stakeholders. Sports and music programs will be

implemented in terms two and three of 2022 for both primary and secondary schools. The Kenya Science and Engineering Fair events and the drama competitions will take place in term.

In order to prepare for the national championship and other regional and worldwide tournaments, schools are urged to begin preparing their teams. The events will primarily take place on weekends, during midterms, and during school breaks.

This follows a meeting with stakeholders that was held earlier this year. The Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) officials and the Ministry of

Education counterparts met for a four-day caucus during which the decision to resume the games was made.

The Term One Championship is already over.

The national championship for term two games is expected to take place in Kapsabet, Rift Valley Region, from September 8 to September 13 of 2022.

According to the calendar, the Sub counties and counties must finish their term one games by June 14th, 2022.
