Breaking News: Jubilee Party Drops William Ruto as Deputy Leader, Retains Uhuru Kenyatta as Party Boss
Deputy President William Ruto is no longer an official of the ruling Jubilee Party.
The party’s National Delegates Convention held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) on Saturday, February 26, resolved to remove Ruto from the deputy party position.
Also expelled from the party were governors, MPs and MCAs who are believed to be allied to Ruto and who failed the loyalty test for promoting ideals of other political outfits.
At the same time, the party delegates retained President Uhuru Kenyatta as party boss to steady the wobbly ruling outfit ahead of the August 9 General Election and beyond.
