COTU Boss Francis Atwoli Supports President William Ruto’s Move to Increase NSSF Savings –

National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is an organization set up to ensure there is protection of both public and private workers upto the retirement age.

President William Samoei Ruto recently announced that the NSSF savings should be increased from the Ksh200 monthly to six percent (6%).

His decision to increase the nssf savings has received a boost following the decision taken by the Central

Organization of Trade Union (Cotu) boss Francis Atwoli to support him.

Atwoli has supported the proposals made by president Ruto saying the deduction of Ksh 200 is too little.

Atwoli’s decision comes after he had rallied support behind the opposition leader Raila Odinga in the recently concluded polls but he was later defeated by Dr Ruto.

The decision of president Ruto proposing to increase the deductions to six percent has ignited mixed reactions from

Kenyans as some have strongly opposed the proposal while some have welcomed the decision.
