KISE Announces Recruitment of SNE Teachers For Diploma In-service Course

The Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) under the Ministry of Education has announced openings for Special Needs Education (SNE) teachers for full time in service courses at the institution. The openings are for diploma holders.

Through a circular released by the Ministry of Education and signed by state Department of  Early Learning and Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Jwan, the area of specialization in this year’s programmes is education for learners with visual imparement, physical imparement, mental disability, hearing impairment, autism and education for learners who are gifted and talented.

Applicants are required to complete the application forms and submit them to the County or Sub-county Director of Education’s office in person after which the forms will be remitted to Jogoo House B, Room 710.

One can download the application form from the Ministry of Education’s website or collect from the Education offices in counties or sub-counties.

The application deadline is slated for  April 8th 2022

Some of the requirements are as follows: One should be below the age of 50, should be a holder of P1 certificate or P1 by promotion through Teacher Proficiency Course, served TSC for at least five years and must be a Kenyan citizen.

Each applicant is required to submit a dully filled form in own handwriting, copies of academic certificates, copy of original letter of appointment by TSC, professional teaching certificates, copy of National ID or a passport, coloured  passport size photograph taken not earlier than the past three months and copies of recommendation letters.

Successful candidates will be communicated to through Short Message Service (SMS), the ministry’s website and the Sub-county ofices.
