Madaraka Day: Official Program Left DP Ruto Out Of The List Of Speakers.

Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga failed to address Kenyans during Madaraka Day celebrations on Wednesday, June I.

Raila, not speaking during such a function was not a big deal to Kenyans since he is not a government official. But a section of Kenyans did not take lightly the part of Ruto as they claimed that the president had snubbed him due to their frosty relationship.

However, it has emerged that Raila and Ruto were not listed as speakers during the Madaraka Day celebrations.

According to the official event program seen by the media, only the president was the one who was supped to give a state address.

The programs showed detailed directions on how entertainment was going to be carried out and the display of security agencies.

After Uhuru being invited to give his speech by the master of the ceremony, he gave state awards and then he invited the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio to speak.

This was against the norm as the deputy president is normally invited to give his speech by the county boss where the national celebration is being held, then the DP, in turn, welcomes the president.
