The Government has stopped all the plans that were going on to swear the President-elect in what the Assumption
of Office of the President Committee now says is to wait for the outcome of the Supreme Court set on Monday, September, 5th.
The powerful committee that is mandated to facilitate the President-elect swearing in has said that all the plans are on hold till the case filed
Supreme Court by the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua is heard and determined.
The Assumption of Office of the President Committee led by the Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua said that
the Committee was on the top gear to plan the transition process adding that they are waiting for the Supreme Court ruling.
The Committee speaking comes after a section of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies claimed that the government was blocking Ruto’s swearing in.
