TSC, Teachers Service Commission has officially urged all county directors to ensure that 5 % of the vacancies that was recently advertised are set aside for the recruitment of teachers with disabilities.
Par of a statement from the commission.reads “The Commission shall ensure that 5% of all the advertised slots are reserved for the recruitment of
teachers with disabilities in accordance to the provisions of Constitution and the Law,”
The.above affirmative action is a step taken by the teachers’ employer to make sure that all candidates and regardless of their condition, are treated fairly during the recruiting process.
Besides ensuring setting aside the 5 percent of the recruitment slots, communication also gives priority to an applicant’s disability to break a tie during county selection process.

Awarding of marks for Length of stay since qualifying as a teacher (since graduation)
It is also important to note that the marks for length of stay after graduation has been reduced by a big margin.

Also an advantage of Communication ability and Co-curricular certificate of participation.
Any applicant who has a co-curricular certificate of participation will also stand higher chances of scoring more marks. This part is very crucial when it comes to breaking of ties.
